“Put a vest on,” will be the catch-cry of an attempt to break a world record in Wagga next month.
Residents across the city have been invited to don a high-vis vest and join the impressive feat on Wednesday, October 10.
Bunnings Warehouse will be hosting the event, with 2137 participants required to steal the current record for the most people wearing high-visibility vests at a single venue.
But the eye-sore will be about more than taking a title from Japan, with the challenge set to shine a light on Mental Health Australia’s World Mental Health Day.
With more than 12,000 residents affected by mental health conditions, according to MHA, Mayor Greg Conkey praised the “fantastic” initiative and urged everyone to get involved.
